Brighton.

I've just had possibly the most amaazing last few days with my equally incred boy. Went to brighton for 2 nights & stayed in this lovely little hotel where every room was themed based on a hollywood icon. Guess who we got? Only bloody Hepper's herself. Classic. Room was lovely & the bathroom was upstairs which added a quirky little something. We were so lucky that we had such good weather, not a raincloud in sight! Even managed to get slightly burnt on one shoulder whilst on the beach. In april?! Christ! I hear you shout. Ha! We enjoyed various activities including gorging ourselves on huuuge dinners, shopping till we was a droppin' & paying a cheeky visit to the sealife centre (at which i was intrigued by the terripins to say the least) They have this glass bottom boat thing that takes you over the shark tank, pretty scary stuff if you ask me! But it was fun never the less even if i was too scared to actually put my feet on the bottom haha! Also in other exciting news i found out today that i got the first placement i was interviewed for! Its a PR role at Brandnation, me & Jess both got it! They represent some pretty good brands such as Barry M and Lulu Guiness to name but a few! So this means we shall be looking for somewhere to live in LDN and moving to the big city baaaby! eeek im literally so excited!
Also managed to pick up these badboys to add the le wardrobe.

Chesterrr.

My mother took me on a lovely little trip to Chester at the weekend, for my birthday. Chester was a pretty, little haven, set in the heart of Cheshire with the Peak District hills as a backdrop. A great place to visit, perfect for couples or anyone looking for a change of scenery, I actually ony saw about 3 chavs during my whole visit aswell which was a bonus i can assure you.
Only going for an overnight stay i'm pretty gutted I didnt get to see the city's more cultural aspects including a wall that's meant to run all the way round it. I only had time for shopping as you can imagine, and luckily Chester didn't dissapoint, feeding my habbit with an enormous selection of stores including all your usual high street numbers and a few unique gems.
I was extremely happy with my purchases, all courtesy of Mummy's birthday treat of course, which included some gorgeous shoe boots from Topshop, that i'd had my eye on for a while, a stripey body from River Island with cute anchor buttons on the sleeves, a netted jumper from the H&M sale and some vintage looking necklaces from Miss Selfridge. I also got 'The Sartorialist,' the book with images from his amazing blog, Scott Schuman manages to capture some brilliant images of raw style and creativity through fashion on the street. Now a trusted photographer among fashion royalty, people such as French Vogue Editor Carine Roifeld let Scott shoot her as she walks around Paris during Fashion Week.

From my Dad i got a digital SLR, the Canon 100D, which has beenon my wish list for what seems like forever! So will be posting alot of pictures once i get to grips with it! It's my actual birthday on Tuesday, but i'm not going all out this year, just a meal and drinks with a few close friends!
That's all for now.
Peace x

Thursday 24 December 2009

So it's the xmas holidays and i'm just gettin over my second bout of illness in less than a month. I feel like the last few weeks have consisted of nothing but feeling like crap and getting stressed trying to meet deadlines. I need a good night out some drunken laughs and embarrasing dancing. Really let myself go. Home is the same i feel like i don't really have anything to ever tie me here now though. I don't feel like i really belong in this town, i seem to have moved on and left everything behind. Untill i return to uni i have to entertain myself with fashion magazines, 40D and stalking people on facebook. I think i will use these weeks to try and work out what i want from life, try and make some sort of goals or something. I am young and i am lost, every sentance has it's cost. Also i am rather hungry and waiting for chinese. Hurrryy.

I gots me a real war medal a few weeks back from the flea market, only set me back £15, which i think is a bargain. Mother however thinks this purchase is, "a waste of student loan." Not that i really care about her opinion but i wish to one day boast a rather impressive assortment of medals when i have the money. I think they're fascinating! But untill then this will have to do..

Fashion inspiration right there, what a trooper.

Paris.

Winter has arrived. And it's colder than I ever remember. I get a little excited when you know that time has arrived to release your winter coats from their wardrobe prison, where they've been hidden away for the rest of the year. It's their time to shine and we rely on them when nothing else will do. They must be sturdy, strong, weatherproof and above all BEAUTIFUL. You're wearing them on the outside god damn it. I just wish I lived somwhere a little more glamourous so dressing up would be a lot more fun. I HATE having to think 'practical' but I try to dress as chic/waterproof as the North West of England allows me to.
I can't imagne there ever being a bad day of Winter in Paris. I envision every day to contain frost filled adventures, involving romance, heart-topped cappuccinos and snowflakes. I don't think i'd mind the winter half as much if i lived there. Everyone seems to be so effortlessly stylish and intriguing aswell. Oh Parieeeeeee. Take me there.
x

P.S. Get me one of those fur hats while you're at it.
